A delightful story reading session
Gracie is available to come read her picture story book The Three Broad Beans to your school. There are propsto help with the story telling as well as a display of the original paintings from the book. Gracie talks about the process of story idea to publication and shows some of the picture references used to help with illustrating the story. There are lots of opportunities for children to ask questions and learn about the story process.
The book has been warmly received by the children with several of them claiming that it is now "their favourite fairytale!" (See below for recent feedback from students at St. Margaret's primary school, East Geelong)
The session can easily be followed by a related art activity which have produced beautiful artwork by the children. (See slideshow below of artwork from Christ the King Primary school, Newcomb.)
For longer sessions Gracie can involve the children in a related circle game or dramatisation of the story with props.
Gracie is also available for teaching the children an art class (1 hr) based on the art method & mediums used in the story.
