The Green Man and Brown Mountain
An inspiring story full of delightful illustrations.
Based on true events. It is the story of our nephew, Andrew, and how his love for nature as a child converted to greatness by taking action, individually and with others, to save the unique animals and plants of Brown Mountain in East Gippsland, Victoria. Their individual and group actions of tracking and mapping species filled the gap created by government departments that may have seen the mountain logged for woodchips. Instead they discovered that the Long-footed Potoroo was still living there along with many other unique species and for their perseverance and dedication these were all considered in a landmark court case that finally saw the logging stopped and Brown Mountain; saved in the ‘nick of time’. One person can make a difference and one person connected with others can make the world of difference! (Price is in $AUD and includes postage)
